QA Manager

Job Description

The key responsibility for this role is to lead and motivate the QA team in monitoring and evaluating product and processing systems and factory practises to ensure agreed standards of quality and food safety are achieved and improved upon. Other responsibilities include:

· Ensure there is a systematic and comprehensive HACCP system that is implemented and
maintained
· Understand, implement and review quality management systems
· Implement, maintain and review an audit system to ensure that critical procedures for
product safety, legality and quality are in place
· Generate technical business KPI information and highlight and communicate issues

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing people in a food manufacturing environment, particularly one that is accustomed to supplying chilled products to the major retailers. You should ideally be qualified in a food related degree and have experience of managing a QA team.
