New Product Development Manager

Summary

Our client is a major pan-European manufacturer of premium chilled and frozen protein based products supplying both the retail and foodservice sectors.

With significant recent capital investment, a business that is growing year on year and an award winning product portfolio, our client is now looking to further strengthen the team with the appointment of a New Product Development Manager

Job Description

Reporting to the Group Innovations Director, your role will require you to manage, co-ordinate and lead the Innovation team under your control, proactively driving innovation and profitability, recommending new products, Continuous Improvement and innovation to the customer, aligned with category insight, operational capability and the commercial agenda.

You will be the primary interface with the customer and will regularly attend customer presentations on site and at head office, aligning business strategies to protect and drive sector growth.

With a degree in a food related subject, you will have appropriate management experience in a similar function in a fast moving, customer driven environment.

You will be a strong leader, demonstrating a relationship history with all major retailers across comparable product categories with an emphasis on value added lines.

A good communicator and team player, you will have excellent organisational skills, strong commercial acumen and a flexible approach to work.
