Operations Manager - Food Manufacturing

Summary

Our client has a blue chip reputation with multiple sites, within a fast paced food manufacturing environment.

They have an immediate requirement for an Operations Manager, reporting into the Site Manager.

Job Description

We are looking for a background in highly automated environments. Career achievements needs to be tangible operational improvements using leadership, manufacturing methodologies e.g. continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. You will be a confident operator with a wealth of operations experience in heavily automated manufacturing e.g. bakery, dairy, brewery, toiletries or pharmaceutical.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Business acumen
• Manufacturing experience e.g. SIC, Lean techniques
• High standard management
• Leadership and coaching skills

You will have managed a number of teams via the shift management tier and will bring the charisma and drive required at this level. Numeracy and analytical skills are required to sit close to the operation and lead the team effectively.
