Technical Manager - Food

Job Description

My client is a multi-site producer of high-end quality bakery food products to the UK market. They look for individuals who are highly motivated and share their passion for food being produced safely and to the highest specification. They are a company that offer autonomy and the opportunity to really make a difference on the operation.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead and drive a small team of QA / Lab Assistants continuing the maintenance of an effective quality system and ensuring BRC accreditation. There is a genuine infrastructure within the site that each individual has a responsibility for quality in their area, thus giving the successful quality manager time to focus on product development and supporting future sales opportunities.

To be successful, you must have experience of working with bakery products from within a senior technical or quality management level. Flour Milling or FEMAS experience would be very advantageous, as would somebody who has a background with food laboratory testing and analysis.
