Backshift Manager - Despatch/Transport Manager

Job Description

Despatch/Transport Manager, Back Shift, based Fife, easily commutable from Edinburgh and the east side of Glasgow. A new role has been created to help manage the back shift team of this busy food producer. You will be responsible for leading a good, busy team to ensure that all H&S, efficiency and quality targets are met. The team enjoys the benefits of state-of-the-art tracking/recording systems enabling you to focus on people and productivity rather than product. Whilst your remit is the despatch arena, as long as you have a good understanding of the manufacturing process then you will quickly be able to implement and develop improvement programmes. This will mean working with and through your team so we are looking for a really strong people focussed manager who loves coaching and mentoring whilst keeping an eye on productivity. This is a pacy environment with lots of product changeovers so a flexible and supportive style is required.
