Senior Packaging Engineer

Job Description

Senior Packaging Engineer, based Germany/UK: This blue chip, food business, which generates c.2 billion Euro, puts it dynamic growth and sustainable success down to cutting edge production technology, innovative ideas and highly committed employees. It is seeking to appoint a Senior Packaging Engineer to its operations in Germany (although there is the option of being UK based after 12-24 months induction) to help develop innovative packaging concepts of tomorrow.

This role requires close co-operation with a number of departments including marketing, purchasing and IT as well as developing proactive relationships with external suppliers. You will be involved in spearheading the introduction of new packaging materials as well as providing expert advice on trouble shooting and optimising packaging concepts and their applications. This includes heading business critical projects for the packaging sector, from packaging concepts to implementation.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a packaging engineering degree or other relevant professional training along with a track record of developing and successfully introducing packaging materials and managing necessary processing requirements. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are also sought along with a creative and enthusiastic approach.
