New Product Development Manager

Summary

Our client is a major multi-site manufacturer of premium frozen products supplying both the retail and foodservice sector.

With significant recent capital investment, a business that is growing year on year and an award winning product portfolio, our client is now looking to further strengthen the Technical team with the appointment of a Senior New Product Development Technologist.

Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Manager and operating alongside the wider management team, you will have responsibility for site NPD projects coordinating daily activity, managing briefs, liaising with all internal/external interested parties. Working in collaboration with the wider factory team you will assist in delivering new products to launch within specified timescales. In this own label business you will have significant involvement with the UK retailers, and a credible track record of achievement is a key criteria for selection. It is essential that you can demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines in a practical and common sense manner.

Ideally with a degree in a food related subject, you will have appropriate relevant experience in a fast moving, customer driven environment. You will be a visionary product developer, demonstrating a strong relationship history with major retailers within premium products. A good communicator and team player you will have excellent organisational skills, strong commercial acumen and a flexible approach to work.
