Category Manager

Summary

Our client is a major pan-European manufacturer of premium chilled and frozen protein based products supplying both the retail and foodservice sectors.

With significant recent capital investment, a business that is growing year on year and an award winning product portfolio, our client is now looking to further strengthen the senior management team with the appointment of a Category Manager.

Job Description

Reporting to the Category Marketing Director and working alongside the wider commercial team, your role will be to develop and deliver Strategic Category Plans alongside major retail customers, highlighting and delivering growth opportunity for the business unit.

Through management of a Category Analyst you will ensure that the Commercial team understand and can make use of market/retailer performance data and consumer research, whilst ensuring that the business is positioned as the customer's first choice for category insights and recommendations.

Ideally with a degree in a food related subject, you will have appropriate management experience in a similar commercial function in a fast moving, customer driven environment. You will be a visionary leader, demonstrating a strong relationship history with all major retailers across comparable product categories with an emphasis on value added lines.

A good communicator and team player, you will have excellent organisational skills, strong commercial acumen and a flexible approach to work.
