Category Analyst

Summary

Our client is a major pan-European manufacturer of premium chilled and frozen protein based products supplying both the retail and foodservice sectors.

With significant recent capital investment, a business that is growing year on year and an award winning product portfolio, our client is now looking to further strengthen the senior management team with the appointment of a Category Analyst.

Job Description

Reporting to the Category Manager and working alongside the wider commercial team, your primary purpose will be to support the Category Manager in the analysis of category and customer performance, with the objective of creating Strategic Category Plans along with detailed category performance insights. Your responsibilities will include creating and developing weekly in-store reports, monthly generic category reports and providing a clear, concise understanding of the markets in which the business operates.

Ideally with a degree in a food related subject, you will have appropriate experience in a similar commercial function in a fast moving, customer driven environment. You will be a strong leader, demonstrating a relationship history with all major retailers across comparable product categories with an emphasis on value added lines.

A good communicator and team player, you will have excellent organisational skills, strong commercial acumen and a flexible approach to work.
