Assistant QA Manager

Summary

We are currently assisting a large food employer in Nottinghamshire to recruit for an important position within the quality team on the night shift.

Job Description

Reporting into the Factory Technical Manager this role will be responsible for managing a large QA/QC team and motivating them to perform to the best of their ability. A key responsibility will also be to ensure the quality systems and maintain the sites BRC A grade. Other duties include:

• Manage excess/shortages of labour to achieve the required crew.
• Communicate with raw material suppliers on any issues.
• Conduct team briefings.
• Review recruitment, development and performance management requirements.
• Conduct team briefings and monitor progress operationally, reacting to pinch points in a timely and coordinated fashion.
• Responsible for correct completion of all paperwork and within specification guidelines
• Responsible for QA manual and training of these procedures to team, monitor and review progress
• Ensure that relevant and up to date QA standards are available and displayed.
• Actively involved in customer visits.
