Recent positive internal movement has created the opportunity for a switched on and highly able Logistics Manager to co-ordinate the logistics department and facilitate a continuous improvement program resulting in over achievement of departmental KPI's.

This opportunity is ideal for Logistics Managers who have a strong track record within a FMCG environment who now wish to co-ordinate the transfer of industry leading chilled products to the premium retailers. Located in the South East, the business wishes to meet with both candidates locally and those willing to relocate and considering the company in question and its highly regarded product offering we recommend this position.

You will be responsible for the 7 day operation of the logistics department the management of it, ensuring internal and external customers' requirements are met. You will need to achieve a high standard of GMP and food safety and above all to ensure a safe working environment. Other responsibilities will include identifying, implementing and sustaining industry best practise and exceeding expectations against departmental targets and budgets. You shall also provide functional expertise to the manufacturing team.

You will have experience of managing a Logistics Team of 41 with the ability to improve processes and structures. In this pivotal role where excellent communication is vital you will liaise with the manufacturing sites, warehouse, transport and retail RDC's.  You will also need to demonstrate proven skills in relationship building, influence and negotiation.  This is a fast paced demanding environment, which requires a manager who can motivate and lead their team to hit exacting deadlines.
