C. £100-£120,000 with excellent bonus and benefits package Yorkshire

Working with the senior team, you will develop and own the delivery of the commercial strategy across all sectors of the business.  You will identify and develop new business opportunities in terms of new customers, ranges and products that will deliver business growth.  You will be a leader giving direction, management and motivation to a sales team covering many different markets and product sectors.  The business prides its self on business excellence through strong professional management.

Heading up the team, you will be expected to improve on the strong relationships that exist with all key customers and suppliers, demonstrating a professional approach at all times.  You will gain excellent market understanding of all sectors, products and customers and grow profitably the share across a balanced product portfolio.  You will direct and own the annual planning/budgetary process, agreeing and delivering annual targets for the Sales Team as a whole.

We are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic character that will ensure the highest levels of Customer Service are maintained.  You will be seen as the Leader of a very capable team

With a UK bias, you will also be responsible for the development of export markets.

To be successful in your application you will be a proven senior Commercial Director, with evidenced ability to improve turnover and profit in Food FMCG Environments some of the product range has a commodity bias and therefore we require a strong negotiator who will stand their ground when required, but not lose sight of the long term partnership requirements.

The organisation is a great place to work and the teams at the various sites are passionate about their business.  We are also looking for an individual who has operated at Board level, able to take a strategic overview - recognising long and short term business requirements.  We want an industry expert - someone who has extensive knowledge of all channels of the food industry.  In eth ideal world we will find a candidates who has excellent relationships and understanding of the UK retailers and the industrial sectors.

For such an important role, we also want to secure an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills - ability to win hearts and minds effectively and tactfully showing strong leadership skills.  As a senior member of the team, you will have a broad remit of responsibility and will need to demonstrate an understanding of other business functions including Finance, Supply Chain, NPD and Manufacturing.
