Job Description

This dynamic food manufacturer is part of an international business and seeks to employ an engineer to its team. You will be responsible for maintaining all plant machinery and services associated with the production of chilled, ambient and frozen products. A time served craftsperson with mechanical and electrical experience, you will need to have: * Experience in PLC control and pneumatics * Hold current BS7671 (16th Edition IEE) Certificate * Electrical training e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, J566 or J557 The ability to weld would be an advantage too. Strong interpersonal skills are also sought as you will be required to build a team spirit across functions, and communicate with day shift Production Managers as to requirements i.e. breakdowns, PPM, etc and be visible to Production and readily contactable to Machine Operators A commitment to H&S goes without saying and you will play a key role in visually checking for any potential issues throughout the Plant. Reporting to a Maintenance Manager, the opportunity exists to deputise in their absence. Ref: SG6192
