Summary

This business is number two in its market and has huge ambitions to grow rapidly.  It has the facilities, process capability and product innovation to achieve those plans, plus the investment funding needed and in place to push forward.  One final piece of the operational plan is the key individual required to spearhead that growth.  The culture of the business is dynamic, supportive and self-confident.  It has a strong reputation with its UK retail customers.

To be considered you need to a truly high calibre food industry professional who has either led a business already or come from a strong commercial background – so either a Managing Director or Sales & Marketing Director ideally.  You must have led a company or business development function through a period of major growth, and be able to demonstrate your personal accountability for that success at interview.  Growth plans for our client could well include international expansion so you need to be able to operate on a wide platform that could encompass factory build, here or abroad, product range expansion, customer base development – and all strategic planning with the Chairman.

To be considered you need to have the perfect mix of directly relevant industry experience with the drive and energy that this business will demand.  This is not a role for someone who is looking to grow a business through planned, organic growth; this is a role focused on radical and speedy business development through your own initiative and that of your senior colleagues.
