You will deliver and influence category development in areas spanning across range management, merchandising and future NPD launches.

Job Description

This highly progressive company has developed an exceptional business partnership with its major retail clients, dominating category sales with many of  these retailers and delivering outstanding levels of customer service. With its modern facilities, expansion plans, great team ethic you will find yourself working within a highly positive environment that takes a pride in its achievements.

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director your key objective will be to develop and deliver strategic category plans for a range of major retail customers, highlighting and delivering growth opportunity for the business and clients alike. Through your  management of a Retail Analyst you will ensure that the commercial team can capitalise on the  market/retailer performance data and consumer research, whilst ensuring that the business is positioned as the customer's first choice for category insights and recommendations.

Of degree calibre, you will have a successful background in Category Management within the FMCG Food industry  with a sound understanding of retailer ranging and category marketing strategies. You will feel comfortable analysing, identifying and working with data providers such as TNS, Kantar, and Nielson. You will be familiar with presenting to key buyers from the  Major Multiples ,with well developed influencing and communication. Skills. , Highly numerate and computer literate, you should also be able to demonstrate a strong commercial flair that has successfully spotted gaps and created successful opportunities to grow the category.
