Job Description

Based in the southwest our client is part of a manufacturing group of companies with sites across the United Kingdom. Manufacturing a range of premium short shelf-life products for the UK's most prestigious retailers our client is looking to double the size of the business through organic growth and is currently undertaking a significant number of new product launches to support this growth.

Reporting to the operations director you will take day to day operational responsibility for the manufacturing function including management of all functional KPI's including labour control, wastage, line efficiency, product quality and line downtime ensuring that product is manufactured in a safe and timely manner. You will participate fully in an ambitious new product development program ensuring that line time is planned to accommodate successful trials and that factory costings are realistic and achievable. Along with this you will ensure that all disciplinary issues are managed and addressed.

You will be an experienced production/factory manager ideally from a similar environment, and experience of growth at a similar pace is essential. You will be able to demonstrate outstanding people management skills and be a strong motivator while leading from the front. A good understanding of technical / NPD processes will be essential.
