Job Description

Our client is a large multi-national company with sites across the UK producing high quality frozen meat products.  The business is committed to driving growth through product and process innovation and as such is now looking to strengthen the product development team with an experience food professional.

The NPD Manager role will be very much focused on project management, taking products successfully from concept to launch.  As NPD manager you will have a great deal of autonomy; reporting directly to the Technical Manager who is based at a different site, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the product development department and liaising directly with customers and attending customer presentations.  One direct report will help support you as NPD manager, but the position will still be very much a hands on role; leading factory trials and ensuring products and processes always achieve the best possible products.

As NPD Manager you will work cross-functionally within the business so you will be experienced in working closely with both manufacturing and commercial colleagues and have a track record of delivering high quality and commercially successful products. Educated to degree level within a food related subject you will have previous experience of working within a fast paced own label environment.
