Our client is changing the way they do business. They want to create the best retail experience for their customers. They need innovative and perceptive people, especially Packaging Developers, to join some of the greatest minds in global retail and help them develop and increase the success and profitability of their business.

Covering General Merchandise, Grocery and fresh Produce, you will be reporting directly to the Brand Packaging Manager.  This role will see you responsible for the end-to-end packaging and implementation for brand products. It is a business critical role and will see you provide a high level of technical advice and expertise on primary and secondary packaging materials. As Packaging Developer, you will need a strong commercial understanding and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.  With an aim of substantially growing and improving the brand offer, your role will encompass product development, quality improvement and packaging optimisation. You will work closely with the Merchandise team, Suppliers, Brand Developers, Quality, Design and Procurement to develop fit for purpose packaging with a view of continuously reducing both cost and environmental impact. Your success in this role as Brand Packaging Developer will be measured by your ability to draw upon your sound knowledge of shelf ready solutions, relevant packaging technologies, materials, designs and production methods, preferably within the food or non food industry. You will need strong influencing skills, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects. Relevant working experience in a packaging role within the FMCG or Retail sector and the proven ability to have developed relationships with key packaging suppliers is also desired.
