Job Description

This is one of the country’s leading chilled food manufacturers, based close to Edinburgh, which is renowned for its innovative approach to product development and setting the standard for others to follow.
 
As part of a close knit team, you will take on your own portfolio of chilled products and be responsible for range extensions, value engineering initiatives and creating new and exciting taste sensations.  You will have the support of development chefs, process and technical teams and access to an array of production facilities.

You will work closely with the customer, so the flexibility for travel is required, as is a good insight into market trends here and abroad.

Reporting into the Development Manager, you will be required to deputise in their absence, so ideally, some man management experience would be preferred.

You will need to have experience of managing the critical path and gate process for product launches, ideally in the chilled sector and, preferably, to a retailer client base.  However, passion for food and good people skills are also key criteria in the selection of the right candidate for this role.
