Job Description

This major food group is looking for an experienced Technologist to develop business opportunities with its customers on the Continent, working out of its R&D centre in the UK.  You will be expected to identify technologies and market concepts that would capitalise on a variety of product ranges, from soups and sauces to ready meals.

This will entail developing full products or component ingredients by working closely with teams from your business as well as those within your customers. You will need to have an excellent understanding, too, of the manufacturing processes required to not only bring products to market but to help your customers make the process more efficient.  

As this is a customer facing role, your interpersonal skills will need to be first class.  Whilst technically competent, you will also need to be able to demonstrate a breadth of commercial awareness and good understanding of market trends etc to identify viable opportunities for your accounts.  This is a great opportunity to develop your creative and commercial skills in a customer-focussed environment and work with a supportive culture that encourages personal development.  Flexibility to travel is required.
