Factory Manager - Food Manufacturing

Summary

This is a new role and will report into the Site Manager and will focus on managing the Manufacturing Operation from Goods in through to Despatch.  The site manufacturers both chilled and ambient products for Retailers and Food Service customers.

The role reports into the Site Manager and is accountable for the Food Manufacturing Operation.  Its focus is to ensure that the Shift managers, Team Leaders and Operatives fully understand the strategy both manufacturing and business and how their accountabilities input into the overall plan.  

The role is to encourage and support the team in meeting KPI targets and ensure there is clear measurement and control within the business.  The role is to proactively look at ways to improve the factory operation through continuous improvement and involving the manufacturing teams and different functions to improve business performance.

The role is accountable for Team Development ensuring that you attract and retain the right calibre of people to the roles.  The Teams are trained and supported within a culture that is able to positively challenge.

The role is focused on ensuring there is excellent communication through written and verbally methods at all levels within the manufacturing environment  

You must have experience of Production/Operations/Factory Management within a fast paced  food-manufacturing environment, ideally chilled food.  You will have a successful track record of achievement through improving productivity and building strong factory teams.   A good understanding of Major Retailers, Technical and NPD Processes will be essential
