As a retail food buyer in this company you will be a key member of the category team driving medium and long-term category plans.  You will be responsible for buying particular food ranges within your category and may have some line management responsibilities for more junior members of the team.  As a successful buyer you will be accountable for agreeing and setting promotional plans with your colleagues and suppliers, and will be targeted on delivering margin and sales growth within your area.  You will have a passion for food and a track record of successfully delivering margin enhancing promotional activity and driving innovation with the help of new product development and technical colleagues.

You will be educated to degree level and will already have some experience of working in a buying position within a retail environment.
