Interim QA Technologist

This is a 12 month maternity contract for an interim QA Technologist. The role is with a market leading chilled food business. It is a great opportunity to gain experience with one of Scotland's most successful food manufacturers.

Job Description

The client, based in Scotland, posses an extensive portfolio of products, which it supplies to major UK retailers. This is your chance to be involved in a dynamic and fast paced food manufacturer. This role requires candidates who are willing to go the extra mile to provide high quality results within this innovation led business.

You will have energy and enthusiasm, with a keen eye for detail. A minimum of 12 months experience within the food industry will be required to ensure you understand what is expected. This position will give the ideal candidate a good grounding with a highly successful business. With a strong team ethic and positive working environment you will be made to feel part of this team from day one.

You will be working with the Quality team to ensure food safety and auditing meet agreed standards. Investigating and resolving non-conformances along with product and ingredient specifications will also be necessary and therefore attention to detail will be needed to ensure all paperwork is accurate. Your role will also be to assist the Quality Manager to ensure all requirements for product launches including; documentation, systems and processes are in line with correct standards. This is an innovation led site and therefore co-ordinating QA requirements for product launches will also be an important part of your role.

The successful candidate will be a self starter who can plan and organise their own time and also work closely with the rest of the team.
