Job Description
Our client is a large successful FMCG food manufacturer. As the
successful candidate you will get to see both sides of this branded
and own label business, supplying all major retailers and
foodservice companies. Currently our client is looking for an
Interim Warehouse Manager who has a proven track record.
You will be responsible to lead and manage the warehouse functions
for incoming raw material and packaging, overseeing the efficient
receipt, storage and despatch of finished products, whilst ensuring
that KPI's and standards are achieved and maintained in a safe
working environment. Key accountabilities include:
- Co-ordinate the warehouse function, to deliver outstanding service to the business. Deliveries to be booked in on time and stocks counted to a high accuracy to ensure minimal confusion in the business and ensuring accurate weekly usage reports.
- Ensure that the area is totally H&S focused, with all risk assessments complete, near misses reported and pre-shift checks done on all moving equipment.
- Lead and motivate the team from the front.
- Continually ensuring best practice is followed in relation to processes and standards.
This role will be responsible for despatch and warehouse operatives as well as the weighbridge workers. Your role will be to ensure targets are met while safety is adhered to. This is your opportunity to join a highly successful business that values their employees.
You must have experience of warehouse operations within a fast paced FMCG food manufacturing environment. You will have a successful track record of building strong warehouse teams. Key requirements include:
- Previous experience in managing a food warehouse
- Experience of managing a large team
- Good knowledge of warehouse management principles
- Ability to communicate and influence at all business levels
- Logical and methodical approach to work
- Strong H&S knowledge in a warehouse environment
