Our client, based in Hampshire, forms part of an international chilled food manufacturing group. Even though this is one of the group’s smaller sites, it is still an integral part of the business. This site produces a small range of chilled short shelf life products for most of the UK’s major retailers.

In this role you will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating a small team of Engineers, adhering to the relevant engineering procedures. A key part to this role is to ensure the team are performing to quality standards in terms of GMP, food safety and housekeeping.

As this is a food manufacturing business, FMCG/manufacturing experience is important and someone who has experience of food production processes (and time scales) will have an added advantage. 

The client is looking for a multi-skilled engineer for this hands-on role. Your remit is to provide engineering support to production and to ensure all machinery is operating at optimum levels. 

In terms of qualifications for the role , you must have:
Recognised electrical qualification and be competent to work unsupervised on live circuits (preferably 17th Edition, NVQ Level 3 Electrical or apprenticeship)
Recognised mechanical qualification (apprenticeship, C&G, BTEC, HNC) or equivalent in-house training
Experience of managing a team
