Our client is a large fast paced chilled food manufacturer supplying Major Retailers, Food Service and B2B with short shelf life food products. The business has an exciting product range that match lifestyle foods. The business has recently restructured and is looking for a Maintenance Engineer who wants to progress their career with a growth business.    My Client has a successful track record of career progression.

The Maintenance Engineer is a shift role reporting into the Maintenance Manager.  The job purpose to provide a maintenance engineering service to the business unit buildings, plant and associated equipment that ensures 100% availability and reliability, that results in the safe and efficient production of food products. 

• Time served apprenticeship
• Recognised electrical and / or mechanical qualifications
• Experience of food / packaging manufacturing environment in a maintenance capacity
• Understanding of PLC and computer controlled equipment
• Competent electrical / electronic / mechanical fault finding and analysis skills
• Self managing – Must be able to work under own supervision or as part of a team
• Flexible working attitude to ensure required work levels are achieved
• Excellent communication and training skills

It is preferred that the candidate will have:

• Multi skilled with PLC programming experience
• Working knowledge and experience of site services – steam, compressed air, refrigeration, water, H&V
