If you are currently employed as an NPD Pastry Chef, with minimum 12 months  experience and looking for the next step in your career this could be the role you are looking for?

Taking on more accountability for a given account, working with focus dedicated to a major retail client, delivering their briefs, identifying new product opportunities and really forging trusted two way relations to keep them at the forefront of innovation. My client will expect not only great innovation but innovation that is sensitive to commercial factors.

This role located in the South West, easily commutable from major towns and cities and also from a number of smaller villages. The products range from individual portion desserts to larger sharing, core and top tier therefore lots of scope for product innovation.

To adequately fulfil this role of NPD Pastry Chef you will ideally need to have worked in a similar food manufacturing environment and have a number of successful launches under your belt and be able to prove a positive working relationship with your customers. For this role you will become a member of a larger NPD Chef team and NPD Department and will whilst working on your own projects be able to draw on the expertise of others, sharing your own learning's, respecting others opinions and values and work together with the common goal of further developing and expanding the business. Ideally aiming for right first time product development.

Must Have:

• A number of years as a within a Pastry/Dessert environment
• Be up to date with current food trends
• A clear understanding of the NPD Process
• An effective communicator, with a degree of IT literacy
• standard packages
• A supportive team player
