NPD Technologist - Food Manufacturing

A highly visible and critical NPD Technologist role project managing and supporting the delivery of all product development from concept to launch within a major brand manufacturer.  

Based in the West Midlands this major manufacturer of brands and own label foods, has developed an exceptional portfolio of household name products which have seen considerable growth in the past decade.  You will therefore be working within a busy and very positive   team environment, for a company with exciting plans to enhance their significant market presence even further. Your primary objective will be to oversee the NPD pipeline, successfully delivering each key stage of the development process, whilst communicating effectively with all the key contacts within NPD, Technical, Operations, Purchasing and Marketing. This will entail duties such as facilitating all factory trials, ensuring that any packaging development is on course and providing work instructions, product specifications, HARA, HACCP and similar documentation. Additionally you will involved with advising Marketing on the feasibility of products and packaging and advising Purchasing on issues such as raw material selection.

Of degree calibre, as an NPD Technologist you will have experience of NPD pipeline project management within the food industry. You should therefore have first class planning, computer literacy and communication skills and be able to demonstrate a good track record of safeguarding the delivery of products through each phase of the NPD process. You will also need to have a strong commercial awareness of the needs of the marketplace for areas such as material costs. RSP. Very much a team player you will enjoy adding value to the NPD function through your ability to investigate, create and innovate.
