Job Description

Our client is a market leader and supply the UK’s leading retailers with hand crafted, premium chilled food products.  The business is currently seeing a large amount of investment so the site is looking forward to a period of growth.

As Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of direct reports.  You will have a track record of inspiring your workforce and leading by example, demonstrating strong analytical skills and taking a pragmatic, persuasive approach when needed.  You must be able to communicate what World Class Manufacturing looks like in the food industry and will have an excellent understanding of Technical, NPD and Engineering and how these departments interact with production.  

You must also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the planning, distribution and supply chain functions within a chilled foods business. As Operations Manager you will be financially and commercially astute and have a proven track record of consistently delivering strong profit and operational performance.  Experience or exposure to working to lean manufacturing practices would be highly beneficial for this operations role.

To be successful you will be of graduate calibre with a good deal of experience in an operations role within the chilled, high risk or frozen foods sectors.
