Job Description

The client is a multinational, multi product giant who produces huge numbers of products each week for all of the major retailers. Product quality and Innovation are core values and they strive for the best in each. This business has a number of sites for you to potentially work in & to further develop your career across a number of different product categories and customers.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• To Innovate new products and processes for their area of responsibility to maintain and extend current ranges as well as to deliver new products and processes outside the current ranges
• Manage focused development of new products to deliver the BU budgeted margin for specific product ranges
• Presents facts and ideas clearly, accurately and persuasively to achieve department / business objectives across all functions and with external customers
• Uses the principles of category management to gain a true understanding of the wants and needs of the consumer in order to develop successful products to meet these needs
• Manages critical paths for specific product ranges, plans, organises and controls resources to deliver new product development concepts to an agreed quality and timescale

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an NPD Manager / Senior Development Technologist, ideally within a chilled environment and specifically working with M&S. You should also have motivating and leading a small team with well developed people management skills.
