Our client is a prepared foods business supplying the UK retailers with hand crafted, premium chilled food products.  The business is at the forefront of product innovation within the category in which it operates and is highly regarded by its retail customers.  This business unit is experiencing significant investment and is looking forward to a period of growth.

As Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for both raw material ingredients and packaging procurement, ensuring the site purchasing opportunities are exploited and you will also have some input into a number of major group spend areas.  An essential part of the success of this purchasing role will be the development of internal relationships and the marketing of the purchasing function and its performance and impact within the wider business.  You will possess excellent communication skills and you will be a good project manager; this skill will be utilised in leading cross-functional teams, maximising supply base contributions.

You will be educated to degree level and will have extensive previous experience in a purchasing manager position.
