Development Manager

Summary

Are you a Product Developer with a number of years experience of working in the ingredients, health, or nutrition sector?  Are you looking for a development role with more accountability?


We are looking for a Product Developer who will assume a managerial role, who will have direct accountability for one process technologist. You will also be heavily involved in management of the day to day NPD as well as playing a key role in driving strategic development projects working closely with clients and also the wider Food Group.

This division of an International Food Group has achieved significant growth in recent years and remains looking forward to a bright future. With this in mind you will need to be a self-starter, and be able to work with pace retaining an accurate eye for detail. You will proactively manage multiple projects maintaining momentum, driving projects through to completion.

As the lead developer you will liaise with operational and technical teams to ensure smooth transfer to the factory. It is imperative you have a background in food science, have an understanding of functionality of ingredients and be up to date with technical applications.

To be considered you will need:

• A food science/technology related qualification
• Ideally have a minimum of five years industry experience within a food development role
• A distinct advantage would be a background in dry applications and /or cereal bars
• Be intimate with lab to factory scale up
• Evidence of being a supportive team player who can take the lead
• Be results orientated, resourceful in providing  solutions
• Able to interpret detailed information
• Intuitive people skills, able to work with all levels of personnel internally and externally
