Production Team Manager - Food Manufacturing

We are currently recruiting for a highly passionate and strong production professional to lead a large team in a huge food manufacturing facility in the South East of London.

Job Description

Part of an international food company, this particular business unit is one of the largest in the UK producing a whole range of products for many of the major multiples. They have well-developed staff development programs and are responsible for many of the products we see on our supermarket shelves. 

This role will facilitate the smooth running of the factory, on both a day-to-day and long-term basis as well as leading and managing a site manufacturing team. Specifically, it will manage a team of up to 110 people in a busy and challenging factory. You will also increase output through motivating the team and increasing efficiencies will be key but a strong focus will also be made towards GMP, hygiene and H&S. You will also be involved in scaling up new products to factory trials and assisting in coaching and training new staff. This position will also involve project work and so lean manufacturing and CI experience will be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have a strong production background and not be afraid of standing their ground in a challenging environment. You will strong people management skills and experience in managing CI projects through to completion.
