Our client is a highly regarded supplier to the UK’s leading retailers, supplying premium chilled prepared food products.  They are recognised within the industry as a market leader in the category in which they operate and they are looking to strengthen their Engineering department with an Assistant Engineering Manager.

As Engineering Manager you will manage a team of engineers on site, ensuring that all project work is carried out in accordance with site safety procedures, legislation, permit to work process and environmental regulations.  You will spend a good deal of time working closely with the production team on site helping to drive improvements with existing equipment as well as sourcing and investigating new equipment opportunities for the business. 

You will be experienced in cross-functional projects and you will have excellent people management skills. As Assistant Engineering manager you will be responsible for developing the capability of the engineering team, ensuring they have knowledge of the equipment to optimise skills; promoting ownership, accountability and personal development.You will be of graduate calibre and possess strong leadership skills. You will have a proven track record of building a successful team with strong morale.
