Job Description

Part of a leading global food manufacturing business, our client based near Melbourne, has invested in a major new chilled foods manufacturing operation.  The growth of added value convenience foods in Australia is significant, and the expertise in this sector from the UK is of real interest to our client.  Supplying major retailers under brand and private label, it has a massive business development opportunity to capitalise on.

The role of Divisional Supply Chain Manager is focused on the complete supply chain operation, encompassing goods in, materials management, demand planning, purchasing, forecasting, warehousing and distribution.  As the business is about to undergo a major phase of growth, the role will also be highly instrumental in scoping capacity and potential demand.  Managing a team of five managers, you will set the supply chain and logistics agenda and deliver its objectives through a strong continuous improvement and coaching approach.

Our client is keen to source a highly experienced Supply Chain professional from the UK high care, chilled foods industry – someone who can bring a breadth and depth of knowledge of how successful supply chain management can directly contribute to bottom line performance, customer service target achievement and business growth. 

This is a fantastic career development opportunity to be involved in a major period of growth in a leading manufacturer within the Australian food industry.  Initial interviews will be with Focus Management, then via video conferencing with the client prior to a meeting with them in London.  The preferred candidate will be taken down to Melbourne to see the operation and better understand the relocation package on offer.
