General Manager – Food Manufacturing

Summary

As a key member of the Senior Management team you will be delivering manufacturing excellence in Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

This is a leadership role, which requires the co-ordination of all production teams and lines and creating an environment where all employees are motivated to deliver outstanding performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Formulate and lead the execution of manufacturing operations, plans, budgets and programs to support company objectives.
• Actively participate with the staff to establish policies and support the attainment of business goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction in all areas associated with FMCG manufacturing.
• Set and achieve key performance targets for delivery in:
• Standard Cost’s, - Production Cycle Time , Purchasing Procedures, Stock Turnover, Customer Deliveries and other measurements of operational performance.
• Build infrastructure and process for effective and efficient manufacturing of products.
• Operate in compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership for the organization, mentoring of high performing staff and ensure all staff are adequately trained and appropriately utilized.
• The successful candidate will be a driven individual with a proven track record in change management and excellent man management experience.
• This is a hands-on role with broad responsibilities. Personal attributes including a strong work ethic and positive attitude are required.
• The candidates must have a track record of manufacturing in a leadership role.
• Solid and broad technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, manufacturing information systems, and in particular supply chain practices are critical.
