Job Description

Our client has a blue chip reputation with multiple sites, within a fast paced food manufacturing environment.  They are a market leader producing branded household named food products. 

Due to a business restructure the business is looking for a Head Of Manufacturing, reporting into the Supply Chain Director who wants to progress their career with a growth product category.  My Client has a successful track record of career progression.

The role will be responsible for developing and delivering the manufacturing strategy across two sites. 

The role’s main areas of focus are : 

• Ensuring that the Health & Safety culture is adopted across the sites.
• Deliver optimal cost, quality throughput through continual improvement.
• Actively engage, develop the then lead the roll out of empowering teams and develop a constructive culture and ensure professional and effective working relationships at all levels of the business.
• Consumer focused to be an effective partner on innovation and strategic business projects.
• Drive manufacturing performance through KPIs.  Oversee the performance of manufacturing including quality and technical operations and embed continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have: 

• Degree qualified in Business Management, Engineering, Science or related field discipline.
• Have gained management qualifications and training with a blue chip environment.
• Proven success in leading and managing a large food manufacturing site.
• Proven expertise in developing and delivering three year operations and financial plans and people/manufacturing KPIs with YOY improvements.
• Developed and implemented continual improvement techniques and systems through people to improve business performance.
• Role models for safety first behaviours and developed a pro-active H&S culture through others.
• Set quality and performance standards and delivered operational excellence through people management and development.
• Consumer/Customer focused with experience of delivering NPD and cost re-engineering.
