Job Description

Our client is one of the largest of its kind in the UK, and has the support of an International parent company. As a business they develop and produce branded and own label products supplying many food retail clients and a number of manufacturing businesses.  

This particular Food Technologist role will focus on one key high street retailer.  As a development technologist you will work from brief/concept development through to launch with clear focus on driving product innovation, identifying new food trends that will translate to product opportunities and further develop existing product ranges. You will be responsible for the transfer to the factory, attending factory trials ensuring product standards are maintained. This site has a reputation as a centre of excellence for their core competencies, and with this in mind it is a great opportunity for a developer to further expand their own skills and learn from those who set benchmark standards.

Your approach should be methodical, able to prioritise your workload and ensure all relevant paperwork is accurate and in order for sign off. Communication is also critical you will need to be able to confidently deal with all levels of personnel with clarity; internally, with customers and with suppliers.

This is a customer facing role therefore ideal if you have interfaced with major retail clients in the past and understand their pace and quality expectations.  You will need to be able to demonstrate your food knowledge and high standards – quality and innovation.
