Job Description

This is your chance to join a fast paced, chilled food manufacturer that is known as a market leader within its field. This site is based in Lincolnshire and forms part of a large international food group. The site produces healthy chilled products for most of the UK’s major retailers. 

In this role you will manage, organise and control effectively the day to day running of a logistics department. You must deliver on service and quality to both internal and external customers.  You will effectively manage and control all materials handling equipment and transport within your area to ensure 100% service on time of materials/finished goods.

Using area KPI data, you will monitor and review performance of yourself and the team. You must challenge any practice or procedures and in conjunction with the Logistics Manager, strive to improve on current performance.

You will also manage performance and attendance of operatives including first level formal written disciplinary action, appraisal and performance reviews, absence management (including return to work procedure) and holiday authorisation.

• Have the ability to lead and motivate a small logistics team.
• Have strong numerical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in a logistics or similar manufacturing environment.
