The role of NPD Pastry Chef is due to succession planning in the business, so there is genuine opportunity for longer-term career progression. This is one of the finest places for a Pastry Chef to make the transition into a larger scale production environment. You will be supported by a number of highly skilled and talented pastry and bakery professionals to transfer your pastry experience into this new larger environment.  

It is considered that the ideal candidate will either have spent a number of years as a Pastry Chef and or have completed a BA in Culinary Arts with a special emphasis on pastry or NVQ Level III/IV in pastry.

The successful candidate will ideally be:

• An experienced Pastry Chef; creative and passionate and have a depth of knowledge, technically sound  Have a working knowledge and understanding of producing; pastry, cakes, desserts, bread/bakery, chocolate work
• Deliver on the development of new products, working to a critical path on multiple briefs
• Take part in large scale production trials
• Must be a an organised and methodical worker, a strong team player who will train and develop others Comfortable presenting to colleagues and an audience
• IT competent
