Job Description

Our client is a large fast paced chilled food manufacturer supplying Major Retailers, Food Service and B2B with short shelf life food products. The business has an exciting product range that match lifestyle foods.   The business has recently restructured and is looking for a Production Improvement Manager who wants to progress their career with a growth product category.   

To identify improvement opportunities and deliver focused manufacturing performance improvement projects. To provide accurate Business Unit performance measurement and analysis. To deputise for the Production Manager for 2 days per week and holidays, giving consistent 7 day factory coverage

For 2 days every week and when providing holiday cover lead and manage the relevant Business Unit. Ensure the daily production schedule is delivered safely to the required quality, service, and cost standards. To ensure the business unit continues to improve both through team development and performance measured against KPI’s.

Key criteria:

• Ability to communicate and influence at all business levels
• Good analytical and numerical capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a large manufacturing team and manufacturing improvement teams
• A comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process, enabling the development of continuous performance improvement plans covering efficiency and quality across the Business Unit
• Ability to manage a Production operation 2 days per week
• The skills to act as a mentor in developing potential within the Business Unit
• Ability to identify manage and deliver small improvement projects
• Ability to influence team members to deliver improvements
