We have an exciting opportunity for a Raw Materials Manager to join a well-regarded food manufacturing facility in the South East.

Job Description

This business is a multi sited, multi product food giant with sites all across the UK and internationally. They are innovation led and quality driven and are seen as market leaders in a number of area’s. This specific site manufactures a well-received chilled food product to the UK’s major retailers. This business has a proven track record of developing its employees through a structured career path.

The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of Raw Materials including packaging. The role accountabilities include:

• To lead, coach and develop the Raw Materials team to ensure they are effective in delivering against their roles
• Manage & sign off raw materials risk assessments including allergens
• Manage the raw material specifications system
• Work with the Purchasing & NPD departments on new raw material / supplier projects
• Manage the HACCP review for all new raw materials proposed by the NPD team

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and knowledge of raw materials within the food industry. A food science qualification will be desirable as will experience of managing a small team.
