Job Description

This business is part of a multi-sited group who produce a highly regarded branded product.

This role, reporting into the Head of Innovations, will provide expert opinion within the business while managing the relevant processes that assure regulatory compliance on-pack. This is a management role and as such has a subordinate directly reporting in. An important part of this role will be to provide the expertise in defence of business position when challenged either by trading standards or EU legislative proposals in order to resolve legislative issues and secure the best possible outcome. Furthermore, you will manage the process that assures the suitability of all ingredients used in the creation of the product, safeguarding conformance to policy, updating relevant policy and procedures where necessary in order to remove risk and assure food safety. You shall also maintain an awareness of developments in Food Law, advertising standards, packaging and trademark regulations, developing key industry and academic contacts in order to provide expert opinion within the business. You shall be managing between 5 and 20 projects at any one time with a time frame of anything from 4 weeks to 12 months.
