Start Date: ASAP

Summary

Senior and Junior Food Process Technologists sought by market leading food manufacturer!

Job Description

Growth and continued innovation leave this busy, chilled food manufacturer in need of a Junior Process Technologist and a Senior Process Technologist.

Senior Process Technologist:
Working closely with the Process Development Manager, you will help guide the NPD, Technical and Production Teams in the launch of new products, ensuring that safety, legality and quality specifications are all met.  You will also provide guidance to the team of Technologists on their launch programmes, as well as assist them in value engineering projects for existing products.

At least two years process technology experience is sought for this role and, ideally, in a chilled food manufacturing environment.  People skills are sought to take on the management of a team.

Junior Process Technologist:
Your remit will be to support Technologists in the hands-on element of the above role - drawing up specifications, implementing factory trials, completing paperwork and inputting data onto relevant computer programmes.   This will give you the chance to fully appraise yourself of HACCP whilst developing your capabilities as a potential Technologist, to take on responsibility for your own product portfolio and projects.

A degree in food science/technology/food engineering is sought with at least a year's placement experience in a food manufacturing/retailing environment.

Both roles require individuals with strong interpersonal skills as you will be liaising directly with the customer, both at the factory and their Head Office.  Attention to detail is also important in order to ensure the 'paper trail' is accurate and good time management skills essential to switch across projects and deliver to tight timescales.
