Job Description

This business is a multi sited, multi product food giant with sites all across the UK and internationally as well. They are innovation led and quality driven and are seen as market leaders in a number of area’s. This specific site produces a well recieved chilled food product to the UK’s major retailers. This business has a proven track record of developing its employees through a structured career path.
 
This roles focus will be to manage the day to day running of the planning team to ensure 100% customer service, optimum capacity utilisation and labour planning by working closely with the Operational team setting targets and reviewing KPI’s. You shall also manage Forecasts and implications from next week to a horizon of 12 months. Additionally key tasks are:

• To manage the day to day running of the Planning Team co-ordinating the supply chain i.e. Goods In, Planning & Production
• Analyse and maintains accurate short/medium/long term forecasts, capacity models, labour models and stock levels in collaboration with the Planning Manager & Operations team
• Develops and analyses plans up to 12 month horizon in line with business strategy including “What if”

This company is looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a planning capacity, ideally within the chilled food sector. You should have either the experience or desire to lead and motivate a team and have a through understanding of the planning, procurement and Goods In techniques.
