Job Description

The client is a major player in the provision of chilled food products to the major multiples. Innovation is at the fore of their product development activity resulting in a variety of raw materials coming into the business. Consequently, they are looking to appoint a Technical Services Manager who will ensure the supply of raw materials from goods in to finished product is supported by the relevant systems and controls. This will include making sure raw material compliance is regularly reviewed and that the relevant information and documentation is available for 3rd party audits. You will also manage the supplier approval system, conducting supplier audits when required and supporting the procurement and buying teams to deliver food safety. You will also work closely with the Site Technical Manager and NPD manager to pre-empt or resolve raw material issues across ingredients and packaging.

To be considered you will need to have a food science degree or strong work experience in food technical standards/raw materials management and direct auditing experience. You will be the kind of person who enjoys championing best practice in technical systems, ensuring buy in from all departments. Ideally, some experience in a high risk, chilled food environment would be a bonus.
