Job Description

Our client is the 2nd largest fresh food manufacturer in the UK and is currently experiencing a significant growth phase throughout the business.With many sites throughout the UK and further planned organic and acquisitive growth, our client is now looking to further strengthen the management team by the appointment of a Department Technical Manager.

Reporting to the Site Technical Manager you will be required to provide technical support to a busy manufacturing department, managing the quality systems and supplying monthly reports highlighting key performance indicators. You will oversee the provision of all required analysis, reporting and certification along with working cross-functionally to improve performance and quality. You will ensure that all technical procedures relating to product safety, legality and quality are controlled and documented.

Ideally with a degree in Food Science or an equivalent qualification you will already be managing a similar operation in a short shelf-life FMCG environment.Intermediate HACCP will be an advantage along with a good understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques.
