We are recruiting for an NPD Pastry Chef who will develop dessert products for a number of major retail clients.

Job Description

Our client is an established chilled dessert based food manufacturer with a respected heritage in the food industry, which supply a number of major retailers. They continue to strive to deliver product innovation, be the best in the industry, constantly developing new desserts and refine existing products and ranges. They stretch and refine innovation boundaries and constantly explore new processes and plant techniques. This is a role for a progressive and forward thinking NPD Chef for one who delivers there are longer term career opportunities.

As the Pastry Development Chef you will be leading and working closely with a team of creative concept Product Technologists to develop chilled desserts that will set benchmark standards and ultimately win market share and retailer confidence. The ideal Chef will have a strong Pastry Chef background will be used to working to customer briefs to develop products that will be new and original.You need to be able to set and maintain quality standards at all times and be able to adjust products and recipes in line with customer feedback and translate their product vision into reality.

Ideally you will be an established Development or Innovation Chef, with a proven track record developing desserts chilled or frozen. You will need to be able to demonstrate and communicate your passion for dessert products. You should have knowledge of functionality of pastry ingredients and be up to date with food tends; retail and restaurant. It will be your role to inspire and educate. Our client is looking for a Pastry Chef who is able to lead a team be responsible for developing and adapting recipes to match customers requirements and tastes with the aim of retaining existing business and developing new.

As a key player in the development of dessert based products you will be working for a company that will broaden your career and significantly enhance your skills portfolio. It is important that you can match your talent for product development with commercial acumen.
