Job Description

With New Product Development being the life-blood of this food manufacturing business, the need has arisen for a Process Manager to run a small team of Technologists to ensure the smooth transfer of products down the factory lines. You will need to be very experienced in managing a number of projects simultaneously and working cross-functionally with departments, all of which need to work cohesively – so influencing skills are high on the selection agenda!

Your role will be about optimising manufacturing methods to achieve on-time, on-budget and on-spec delivery of new products.  An innovative approach to problem solving complimented by an appreciation of a range of equipment/engineering issues, will help maximise process efficiencies.

In addition to launching new products, you will work with your team and the manufacturing departments to review existing processes to maximise capacity and minimise wastage.  Consequently, you will need to be adept at risk assessments, identifying critical process points and the instigation and organisation of trials, whilst minimising downtime of day-to-day production.

At all times, product quality, safety and food legal standards need to be front of mind in all you and your team do.

Your team will be looking to you for development and coaching to ensure their own potential is maximised so strong people management skills are sought.
