Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Manager working for an established Chilled Food Manufacturer. The role reports to the Site Manager and also liases closely with the Supply Chain Manager. The role manages a team of 40 people with two direct reports.  

Job Description

The client is a large chilled added value food manufacturer and operates manufacturing sites throughout the UK. This role is based out of their London site.  This role would suit an individual with Warehouse/Logistics management experience. The client would also consider candidates with a broad operational background that have gained some experience in Logistics/Warehouse management. Ideally you will have a good appreciation of planning systems and how amendments to plan change the supply chain particularly the Good in and Despatch departments. The despatch department delivers product to the Retailer RDC’s and measurement of accuracy and on time are critical to the success of the department. Experience of using a variety of different warehousing systems in this role would be advantageous. The Client is keen to recruit an individual into the role that is logical, organised, reliable and can think beyond the day to day operation.

This is a successful site with established customers and this role will add to their management team on site.

• Ideally Food Manufacturing experience
• To be able to Lead and Motivate the Despatch and Good In team.
• Good Knowledge of the Logistics process, with experience of short to medium term continuous performance improvement strategies.
• Good written and verbal communication
• Good analytical and numeric skills
